{Shoot Before & Edit After}

I wasn't around yesterday. We left early, 9am (early for me, since I try to blog while Alexis takes her morning nap). My friend and her son, whose 9 months old, picked us up and we went to the beach, where we met her friend and son, 11 months. Well, it was super windy and cold. It's been warm all week, so where'd this come from? We stayed 10 minutes and left. Found a park, where the kids could play in the grass, and out of the wind, it felt perfect. I have this beautiful tan line, where my sleeve was, didn't even think to roll it up. & we got pedicures last night. Left the kids, with their dads. It was one of the best pedicures, ever! Maybe because I haven't had one in so long & it came with a glass of wine. The people that worked there were so nice.
Remember Tuesday, I was going to the dentist & it had been 6 years since I've been? Well....No cavities & teeth are all clean, Yay! I will have to get my wisdom teeth pulled though. That scares me.
My baby was 7 months yesterday! These months just keep getting shorter and shorter, sigh.

  1. Great edit! Warmed and sharpened everything up, and I love the hazy retro feel from the Summer Vintage.

  4. I love the vintage edit. It might be cool to add some textures and make it look city-scape grungy. Nice job!

  9. Good editing I like the lightness added to it.

    One thing I have a hard time with is the right pose for people who may be overweight. I think you may not want to use brick running width wise AND having the girl standing almost flat with her back to the wall as well? It can add to the overall wide-ness of a person. I see you did have her turn a little. Anyway, keep up the good work!

  13. Hi Jessica! First time visiting, and first time entering the Before and After challenge ... these are very nice edits! I especially like the Summer Vintage! There's just something about a red brick wall! Adds a nice touch ... we used one on an engagement shoot this past summer, too, and I just like the way it compliments an image! Sounds like you had fun with that pedicure! I'd love to have one of those! :) And yay, for that great dental report!! I also want to say ... don't let it scare you to have your wisdom teeth removed. I used to work for an oral surgeon, before we had our son, and they have made so many advancements since then ... I know you will do great! :) You have a wonderful weekend!
