I'm sorry, I have to brag

Today was superb! The weather can't be more gorgeous. The best part? The whole next week looks to be about the same and {no} rain. It seems kinda early for February, to be in the mid 70s, but I'll take it.
Alexis had her first time at the beach today. She loved playing in the sand, was throwing it everywhere. The water was cold and it was a bit breezier than I would have liked it to be. The wind made it cooler, but the sun sure was warm. {Sorry to my readers who are in the cold right now, I'll send this weather your way!}

I'm going to join in the 'Get Fit, Get Healthy' group. I have been on a lifestyle change for almost 3 weeks now. The first week, I lost 5 lbs and the second I gained 0.4lbs {gotta love the water weight and bloating, Thank you period}. My weigh in days are Tuesday mornings. It feels so much better to eat right. I remember what my weight watchers coach had told me when I was there a couple years ago, "Nothing tastes as good as being thin feels." I don't really want junk anymore. I do have a skinny cow ice cream sandwich once a night, at 140 calories, I think I can splurge. Ice cream is my down fall.

2. Your fitness challenge(s) for this week: Just actually doing it.

3. Your food challenge(s) for this week: More water, eat smaller portions

4. How well did it go: So far great! I used to have cheat days, but I don't anymore. If anything I 'reward' myself with one thing.

5. Failures and slip-ups: We only walked once this week.

6. Weekly challenge wisdom: Get my hubby on track more, so we can get healthy together.

7. Advice to fellow GET FIT members: Just because you slip up once in the day, doesn't mean your day's ruined. "Nothing tastes as good as being thin feels"

    Well, keep it up and I am sure you will be able to achieve you weight goal and stay healthy. :) Ice cream is my downfall as well and I am not into soda so I am good. I just like to eat a lot of rice since I am an Asian and right now I just could not depart from it. LOL! I try to eat small portions though and sometimes I would treat myself.   5. It's funny that you mention that saying "Nothing tastes as good as skinny feels" because I used to use it often back when i was trying to lose weight.
    I think that removing cheat days from your routine is smart. You're not doing this for someone else to cheat. You're doing it for yourself, so why would you need to "cheat". Besides, having cheat days allows you to pig out and not take weight loss as seriously, as a change in lifestyle should be taken.
