This is a photo of my grandpa. He was in the Air Force, stationed in Alaska back in the 50s. The photo of the woman behind him on the table is my grandma, which is cute. He was such a good guy and the best grandfather. He passed away 2 months ago, but he didn't go down without a fight. He wanted to meet his great granddaughter. I miss him. I have never met anyone as kind or generous, even to strangers, as him. Love you Pawpaw.
Aw, I love the photo of your grandpa! So sweet.
ReplyDeleteAwww....what a sweet picture and story.
ReplyDeleteThat's lovely to see the photo there..
ReplyDeleteWhat a handsome fellow he was! I'm sorry that he's gone. It's always hard to lose someone so close and good.
ReplyDeleteYour grandfather looks so happy and your grandmother looks beautiful in the wee one on the table. You will feel the loss of your grandfather.
ReplyDeleteWhat a smile he had! My prayers for you.
ReplyDeleteQuite funny photo. A cowboy with his gear in the bunkhouse, his sweethearts picture nearby.
ReplyDeleteGreat photograph, so busy and full of information. And so full of memories for you. A fine tribute to someone who must have been a fine man.
ReplyDeleteI wonder where the setting was? Looked a spartan kind of room...Historically fascinating.
ReplyDeleteWonder if his outfit was how he relaxed after a day on duty in the AF? Looks like a wonderful person. You will be able to show this to your daughter someday and tell her about him.
