{Shoot Before & Edit After}

Here was my SOOC

I do use actions for much of my editing anyway. It's just faster and easier for me. I tried out Ashley's tutorial & it didn't come out quite like hers lol. I shot in natural light, but the room I shot in has yellow walls. Which made her skin tone just not work well with editing, even when I chose a custom white balance. To me, this looks like a creative edit.

I tried it in black & white (PW Action)

  4. I like both of your edits! Great job!

    As for skin tone, looking at it from here, for a less creative kind look, try making an adjustment layer on your first edit, for hue/saturation. Desaturate your reds, yellows, & greens a bit, and up your magentas. Then I'd do a soft pink layer at a low opacity (maybe 5% or so, just to give a hint of the color)

    You'll have to play with it a bit, and it's hard for me to see exactly without playing with it myself, but I think that would give you a more "true to life" skintone feel :)

    That being said, I really love both the edits you did!

  9. I think these edits look perfect and I'm glad you made your own adjustments to my edits - I find that unless you're using the exact same photo to start with, it's hard to reproduce the exact same steps.
